Privacy Policy

TakeCue is published by NYRAI LLC. Last updated November 2026.

The short version

TakeCue collects nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, and no TakeCue server. Your recordings and all app data live only on your device. We have no way to see them.

What we collect

Nothing. TakeCue has no backend, no analytics, and no advertising. We do not create an account for you, and we never send your recordings, contacts, location, or device identifiers anywhere.

Your recordings

Every take you record is stored only in TakeCue's private storage on your device. A recording leaves your device only if you choose to share it, using your device's own share sheet (for example to Messages, Drive, or email). That transfer is handled by the app you share to, not by TakeCue.

The band feature

"Play as a band" lets other devices on the same local Wi-Fi network start, pause, and stop a recording on the host device. This connection is peer-to-peer on your local network only — it never goes through any server — and every message is end-to-end encrypted (AES-256-GCM) with a key derived from the 6-digit number you share. The control messages carry only recording state (start/pause/stop and a timer); no audio is streamed between devices.

Purchases

TakeCue Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Google Play (or the App Store on iOS). We never see your payment details. The store tells the app whether Pro is unlocked; we store that flag on your device only.

Permissions

Children

TakeCue is not directed to children and collects no personal information from anyone.
